Nice change to draw a child who isn't smiling. The portrait has a softness because of this, I think.

- At art college I specialised in drawing & painting. I have worked as a designer & illustrator but in the last 10-years have focused my energies mostly on portraiture. I have been invited to many fundraising events and other public occasions to show ‘on the spot’ demonstrations, in this way drawing portraits for many satisfied customers. My work has been largely centered around the south coast of England but has also taken me to places as far afield as Australia. I am now based in the busy coastal town of Poole, with it’s beautiful beaches, a short drive from the famous Jurassic coast & Purbeck Hills. I have been fortunate in that the area attracts many visitors & has presented me with the opportunity to draw a variety of people & landscapes.
