Sketch drawn today for customer. Tried to keep lines direct & lively, establishing solidity without overworking. His head is slightly tipped up, as shown by the level of the ears in relation to the nose. This gives the effect that his little neck is hardly managing to support his head, often the case with babies. I like full face portraits. If the angle of the ears is properly established the broad width of the head is apparent, again typical of a baby.
